LittleMissMatched's 2012 Summer Digital Catalog

This project is my absolute favorite from my time with LittleMissMatched's Design Team. LMM was my first official full time job as a creative professional, school outside of school because I wore a million hats and worked on countless projects within a start-up's small team.

This particular book was created during a time when print catalogs were still a big thing, but business was starting to heavily lean towards the digital world. We were tasked with producing three extra digital-only books between our main print pieces, which would be hosted and shop-able within the company's website. This was the third book which was super fun to create and a huge the labor of love.

Since we were a kids-wear brand, we always tried to have something "tangible" for the models to interact or play with on set. This approach would always give us a more natural and energetic film to work with.

The winning concept was a chalk summer fantasy, partly inspired by Dana Tanamachi's awesome chalk work. We created two huge chalkboard sets that we could move around per our needs, and our wonderful Creative Director would illustrate scenes based on the flow of our shot list. All the headline typography was done by myself during the post-production process; headlines were digitally typeset and then texturized with a wax pencil by hand to achieve that chalk-ish look. Lots of Photoshop, scanning, drawing, and InDesign!
